PERMITS

Do You Need a Permit for a Pool in London?

Yes. London requires a swimming pool fence permit before any pool goes in, even if the fence is already there. For an inground pool, the application also needs a grading and drainage plan from a licensed professional, such as an engineer or surveyor.

Building in a new subdivision? Check that the City has assumed it first. Newer neighbourhoods use swales and catch basins to carry water away, so the pool has to fit the lot grading plan.

We handle the permit paperwork for you as part of every installation.

If your yard is near the Thames River, a creek, a ravine or a wetland, the local conservation authority may need to approve the work as well. The City asks for that approval with the permit application.

COST

What Does a Fiberglass Pool Cost in London?

Most of our fiberglass pool projects fall between $82,500 and $143,000, fully installed. That covers the pool, excavation, backfill, basic equipment and a standard concrete patio.

Where you land in that range depends on the pool size, the patio, equipment upgrades and your yard. The Instant Estimator gives you a range for your own project, and you get an exact price once we've seen your yard.

Is a Fiberglass Pool Right for Every Yard?

Not always. Fiberglass pools are built in a factory and shipped by truck, so they top out at about 16 feet wide and about 8 feet deep, and a crane needs a clear path to set the pool in your yard. If you want a bigger pool or a custom shape, concrete is the better choice.
